The fold is the feature

The composer could have reproduced each platform's feed: the chrome, the icons, the little row of buttons down the side. We deliberately did not, and the page is better for it.

Partly that is a legal line — other people's marks and interface are not ours to draw. But mostly it is that the feed chrome is not what anybody is checking. What they are checking is whether the caption's first line does its job before the platform hides the rest behind “more”.

So the preview shows the frame, the caption, and where that caption gets cut. Three things, all of them ours, and all of them the thing you actually came to look at.
